A little late submission ...but I really wanted to do one of the symbols of my country of origin, Hungary.

The Turul is the most important bird in the origin myth of the Magyarok (Hungarian people).

It's been a long time I've participated in Illustration Friday....but I couldn't miss out to submit for their current topic "TREE"...

 I LOVE trees....they are always inspire me :)

So here it is....a painting I've done a while ago....but perfectly fitting the subject.

Introducing....

...my beautiful third baby girl....my bundle of joy...Kiana...she was born 6 months ago.....

....can't believe how fast time flies!

Summer's come and gone...I know this post is looong overdue! So finally I decided that I need to squeeze in some time to do this posting... between feedings and diaper changes... walks to the park...and cooking and cleaning... and giggling and playing...and creating...life really gets busy sometimes. But I learned to be patient 'cause I know time will come when I can get back to my 'old' routine...and on those days I will be missing these precious moments with my baby. So I just try and cherish every moment now....I know she'll grow up fast...

...just like her older sisters did. :)

On the creative side...I'm getting ready for arts & craft shows for the fall. There are new things I'm working on...So please stay tuned and check back in sometimes...posts will come!

sketchbook project 2012

I forgot to post about this...I participated this year's The Sketchbook Project...and now my sketchbook is listed among thousands of other artist's at the Brooklyn Art Library and it will go on a world tour and exhibited in 14 cities...including Toronto! So exciting!

I'M BACK!....

After almost 7 months absence......where the time flies?
Sorry dear blog followers for neglecting my blog for so long. My life just got a busy turn...and it's hard to squeeze in time to write up a post here when there's so much other things to do.
Well I'm back again..and hoping to post more often.
I missed you all!

I have a lot to share actually....so let's start with the most important news...I'M EXPECTING A BABY and I feel so blessed to experience pregnancy with all its ups and downs again! I'm very excited and happy and hardly can wait to meet her/him at the end of February! :)
I can imagine I will be busy than ever but I'm hoping I can manage my time wisely and have the chance to spend some time with creative work too. I'm so inspired and have so many ideas....

In my long months of absence....I've been working on new paintings..attended art shows and I've been even featured on my wonderful artist friend's blog: Eat Drink Paint   go check it out and see Kim's work...she is a very talented and amazing artist!

Well, with the Holiday Season just in the corner I thought I show you this painting first that I've done recently for an art show.

The Raven's Song....

.......that someone else listens to now, as this painting got sold at the HandMade Market show. It was inspired by this song that I was listening to while painting it.

Sometimes I get more attached to one painting then others but  I especially miss this one, because I even forgot to take a proper picture of it. :( 
 It was hard to let go, but I'm glad it found someone who felt connected with it as much as I did. :)

Another painting finished for the show. I'm so excited....one more week until the Handmade Market that will feature more then 30 local artisan's original hand-crafted work. The show will be outside, set-up market style so I'm hoping the weather will be nice and not like today with stormy winds.

Spring has a slow start this year around here.....I took this picture of my adorable bunny, not so long ago, back in the snowy days. I think he likes hopping on green grass a lot more then in the snow :)

new work for a gallery show

Just fresh off the easel....this new piece has been submitted for the Small Feats show at the Niagara Artists Centre this coming Saturday. I'm very excited to be part of it and it will be interesting to see all the other twelve inches by twelve inches artworks.

.....inspired by this beautiful folk song.....that is one of my favorite childhood songs and I still love to sing it with my daughters.

 I'm not much of a translator but it means something like this:

new bookmarks...and a snowy day

Today a snowstorm just passed us here. Winter is in full force still with snow and cold winds, but my mind is on spring already! And not only I'm thinking of the warm weather and blooming flowers but  the upcoming spring art and craft shows that I'm getting ready to. So when life is not getting in the way and when no one is sick in the house, then I can squeeze in some time to find my art table in the corner and start working on things. Like these handmade paper bookmarks that I've finished, though some already got sold to lovely people.

Well, snowflakes are still dancing outside my window......distracting me again.....but they are so beautiful to look at. :)
